Research Interests:

Physical Chemistry, Surface Science, Analytical Chemistry, Materials and Solid State Chemistry — New laser spectroscopy methods are developed for the study of molecular interactions, chemical imaging, molecular astrophysics, and novel forms of matter.

Active projects include nonlinear chemical imaging microscopy of nanostructured materials, polymers, and biological systems, terahertz laser spectroscopy of clusters, infrared cavity ringdown spectroscopy of ions and clusters, synchrotron X-ray spectroscopy of liquids and their surfaces, and chemical reactions at liquid surfaces. We continue to focus on problems involving liquid water and its surface.
